The District's strategic plan is a pathway to successfully fulfill our promise to connect with, inspire and empower our students. We built this strategic plan to provide system coherence and focus our work on five critical student learning outcomes. This plan lays out our vision, strategies and measures by which we will attain these goals.

January marks School Board Recognition Month, a time to honor the dedication and commitment of school board members across the state.
The Orting School District made a powerful impact at the annual Washington State School Directors' Association (WSSDA) conference, with a presentation led by the district's school board, Superintendent Ed Hatzenbeler, Executive Director of Equity and Student Support Dr. Aaron Lee, and student board representatives from Orting High School Jaedin Soto and Carly Castro. This event brought together school board directors, superintendents, and student board representatives from across the state last month in Spokane, Washington.
Isaac Jones, a former Orting High School basketball player, and current professional player, has made a significant contribution to his alma mater by donating brand-new shoes to our boys' and girls' basketball teams.
Students at Ptarmigan Ridge Elementary recently enjoyed a unique opportunity to have their voices heard and their taste buds put to work at an exclusive taste-testing event hosted by the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
The halls of Orting High School and Orting Middle School were alive with the sounds of music this December, as the community came together to celebrate three spectacular concerts showcasing the talents of Orting's middle and high school students.
