Orting High School Homecoming Events (Oct. 6-9) Postponed

Due to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Orting High School (OHS) Football team, all OHS Homecoming Events will be postponed to future dates.

Those events include:

  • Oct. 6 Homecoming Parade and Olympics
  • Oct. 7 Volleyball Homecoming tailgate (the volleyball game is still scheduled)
  • Oct. 7 Homecoming Assembly at the OHS Stadium
  • Oct. 8 Homecoming Football Game vs. Fife
  • Oct. 9 Homecoming Formal Tailgate

Also, all football activities, including practices and games, are postponed until Oct. 19.

All unvaccinated OHS Football Players will quarantine for the next 14 days. Those who were vaccinated or had a previous verified COVID-19 positive case within the past 90 days can attend school in person.

Along with protecting the health of all homecoming event participants, students, families, and staff, this decision was made to maintain a critical community event for all staff, students, and community members.

OHS Homecoming Week is one of the biggest celebrations for staff, students, families and community members, and leaders throughout the City of Orting. Our district leaders will immediately work on planning future dates of the Homecoming events.

If you have any questions, contact OHS Principal Cliff Fries at friesc@orting.wednet.edu.
