Peer Model Preschool

Thank you for your interest in our Peer Model Preschool program!

Research supports the concept of having children with identified disabilities participate in learning opportunities with their non-disabled peers. In order to increase the variety of opportunities for this to happen, the Orting School District has developed a program for preschool-age children to participate in all of our developmental preschool classes. The Tuition-Based, Peer Model Preschool Program is part of our growing Orting School District Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. We are excited to offer opportunities for children to participate in an enriched learning environment focused on developing communication and language, social, self-help, motor, and cognitive skills. Early literacy and math skills are emphasized. Students also learn leadership and helping skills by modeling appropriate play and communication for their classmates with developmental delays. Thank you for considering our program.

Cost: $2,250 for September through June, monthly payment plans are available.

Our Tuition-Based Programs are:

  • 2.5 hours per day, Monday-Thursday
  • Morning and afternoon sessions are available
  • Must be 3 or 4 to participate in the program (3 by August 31)

Classrooms are located at Ptarmigan Ridge Elementary.
