Project details:
- Rebuild Orting Elementary School as a 700-student school to serve Orting and Bonney Lake residents
- Room for intervention and social/emotional support
- Improves traffic flow and allows for Orting High School expansion
- Moves 40 entry points to one entry
- Expands parent/visitor parking by 65%
- Updated heating and cooling
- Separates cars/buses/pedestrians with one-fourth mile more space for pick-up and drop off
Timeline:
- Planning, design, and permitting: 2026-2027
- Construction: 2027-2029
