Degrees and Certifications:
I believe that "teaching is primarily a matter of love" (William Ayers). I encourage kindness within the classroom and often refer to The Golden Rule. I am looking forward to building a partnership with you to help your child succeed reach their fullest potential. I use the Bloomz application to communicate with families about what we're learning in the classroom, request volunteers or materials, and share reminders about upcoming events.
I graduated from Denison University in 2012 with a Bachelors in English-Writing. I completed my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Ohio State Univeristy in 2017. Between my degrees, I worked in a technology field as a consultant. My student teaching experience was in 1st grade and I was an intern at a preschool. I have been a long-term substitute teacher in 2nd grade and a substitute teacher for grades K-5.
I was born and raised in Auburn, Washington. My family loves to go to farmers markets and art festivals in the local area. Our dog's name is Livi and she is a beagle mix. I enjoy training her and exploring new dog parks. Our cat's name is Ollie and he is a rescue from Texas.
