    7-8th by application only. We will create the yearbook by taking pictures and creating each page of the book through a web-based program. Dedication and an eye for details is key. We will start in the end of September, applications will be available during the club fair at lunch. Official times have not been set yet.

    Chess club is a club formed for the purpose of playing the board game of chess.The game of chess helps young people learn to concentrate, think logically, overcome obstacles, spot patterns and categorize information. It helps with the development of problem-solving skills, planning, patience, focus of thought and self-discipline.

    If you enjoy storytelling, poetry, and using words creatively, then Creative Writing Club is for you! This club welcomes those who are new to writing as well as those with lots of experience wielding a pen. We will do quick writes from prompts, share and critique written work, and learn cool new techniques for writing creatively.

    Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a fantasy role playing game (RPG) in which players create characters and embark on adventures. ... The goal is to have a fun time journeying through adventures that Dungeons & Dragons can provide. The club encourages students to coordinate and plan as a team.

    Knowledge Bowl is a trivia competition that culminates with Junior Varsity and Varsity League Meets in March. Questions from all academic disciplines and current and historical facts can be asked during the competition. Any students with an interest in trivia are encouraged to join

    Welcome to Math Club! This year, our club will focus on sufficiently answering a question that is all too commonly asked in the math classroom: “Why does any of this matter? How can this information be of use to me? Can I make all my hard work pay off practically?” If you’ve ever had to ask yourself this question before, then you’ve come to the right place. In short, Math Club will give you the opportunity to make math fun and applicable, while improving your ability to tackle the school curriculum at the same time. There will be no definite course for us to cover, nor will there be any homework. The Math Club will meet either before or after school about once a week. All students attending Orting Middle School here are welcome to join.
