Hello! My name is Karleigh Baskett, and I am a 3rd grade teacher at PTR. I have lived in Orting my whole life, and was in 4th grade the year PTR opened. It is so fun to come back to teach in the school I went to for 4th and 5th grade.

When it comes to running my classroom, I am firm, fair, and consistent. I hold high expectations for all students, and hold students accountable for their success. With this comes a great amount of trust that my students hold. There is a lot of fun to be had in class, as they continue to honor that trust and do their best. This accountability and trust eliminates many behavior problems and confusion that may come up during the year.

When I am not in my classroom, I am spending time outdoors hiking, camping, backpacking, snowshoeing, and traveling, with my husband (who is also an OHS graduate) and my shepherd mix.
