Voting Facts

  • School levies in Washington require a simple majority—50 percent plus one vote—to pass.
  • All voting in Washington is done by mail.

Register to Vote

There are three ways to register to vote in Pierce County:

  • Online
  • By mail
  • In person

Remember to Vote

We encourage all registered voters to vote. If you vote by mail, ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day. Or you may return your mail ballot on or before Election Day at a ballot drop-off location. See a list of ballot drop-off locations in Pierce County. 

Future Voters

16 and 17-year-olds can now pre-register to vote! Registrants under the age of 18 will have their registrations held until they become eligible to vote.
