  • Falcon Families-

Hi everybody and a very pleasant good morning to you, wherever you may be. (We miss baseball at my house.)

As we continue our deeper transition into the remote learning environment, we definitely want to encourage all students to engage, regularly at a minimum, daily if they can, with the learning opportunities being published each week by OMS teachers. It's nearly impossible to overstate how important it is for our students to stay active, intellectually engaged, and focused on honing their skills as we move through this extraordinary time.

As we've transitioned our learning to an on-line model, we've also transitioned several of our clubs to an online model as well. Check last week's Falcon Forum for the teacher contact info for our clubs. It's just one more way to stay connected.

The week of May 4-8 is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please take a moment to fill out the following Google Form to recognize a teacher/s that has had an impact upon your child. You can fill the form out multiple times to recognize multiple teachers. It will be open all this week, and we'll forward shout-outs to teachers the week of May 4th.

This afternoon from 4-6 pm at Orting High School is our fifth, and hopefully final, Chrombook distribution. No need to sign up, just come by with a valid photo ID.

Lastly, ballots for the replacement levy are due tomorrow, April 28th. Levy funds support many critical activities in Orting schools, including athletics, clubs, and critical safety staff. Remember that postage on ballots is free, or if you prefer, there's a dropbox at the public safety building in town.

    Have a great week!!
