Do you want to be a part of shaping Orting School District's future?
The voices of our community, students, staff, and families speak volumes, which is why Orting School District wants their help to shape the students' future.
Their feedback will help create Orting School District's (OSD) next district-wide strategic plan, setting students' standards and expectations for years to come.
With the help of local families, students, staff, and community members, OSD Superintendent Ed Hatzenbeler will craft a strategic plan, reflecting the district and the Orting community. Sections of the plan will include:
- Why does the district exist
- District values
- The district's focus areas to improve students' experience at school and how they plan to do this.
- District key improvement strategies
- District goals to better serve all students (learning, engagement, equity, inclusivity, and well-being)
- How the district will measure success
On November 10th, Superintendent Hatzenbeler will present the strategic plan to the board and to those who attend the meeting. It will also be available to the public on the Orting School District website.
So how do I input my voice to help create Orting School District's Strategic Plan?
Superintendent Hatzenbeler created a 6-question survey for Orting families and community members, staff and students, asking participants:
- Their vision of Orting School District in three years
- The district's strengths and areas of improvement
- What resources and opportunities the district needs to better serve students.
The survey should take no more than two minutes to complete.
Once again, the survey's feedback and opinions will shape the future of the district and students.
